This guide shows how to uninstall a program using the Add/Remove Programs dialog in the Windows Control Panel. The instructions works for Windows 10/8/7/Vista/2008/2003/XP/2000.
Press Windows + R on your keyboard. The Run dialog will pop up.
Then, type control appwiz.cpl in the Run dialog and hit Enter or press the OK button. The Add/Remove Programs dialog will pop up and show a list of programs that are installed on your machine.
Right-click the program you would like to remove. Select Change/Uninstall. This will start the uninstall process.
On some of the older Windows operation systems, such as Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, you select the program you would like to uninstall and then click the Remove button.
Follow the instructions in the uninstall wizard that pops up. Some program uninstalls immediately, while others may require you to walk through multiple steps in in their uninstall wizard. Some programs will also ask you to restart your machine.
Click on the Add/Remove Programs dialog and press the F5 button on your keyboard. This will update the list of installed programs. Verify that the program you just uninstalled no longer appear in the list.
